About the OXCEP
The Oxford Chinese Economy Programme (OXCEP) was a task force established at St Edmund Hall in May 2013 to spearhead and implement various China development projects, including the related forums and symposiums, distinguished speaker lectures, summer courses, visiting fellowships and visiting studentships at the Hall. Such mission had been successfully concluded.
Among the founding members of the OXCEP, Principal Professor Keith Gull retired in September 2018. Professor John Knight was the Academic Director of the OXCEP between May 2013 and January 2024. Professor Robert Wilkins took on the Academic Directorship in February 2024. Ms. Helen Xiaowei Chen has been the Administrative Director since 2013 and Vice Chairperson of the OXCEP since 2024. The founding OXCEP Chairman is Dr Frank Hwang, a former medic who believes in lifelong learning experience for all.

It will continue to be a powerhouse of innovation and inspiration, facilitating net zero economic development, green energy, artificial intelligence in biomedicine, global healthcare leadership, and translational medicine in various countries of the world.
